The president in charge, Delcy Rodríguez, said that with the union of peasants, private sectors and the communal economy, Venezuela is making progress in promoting national production and food sovereignty.
“Every hectare delivered is an achievement to guarantee food at fair prices to the Venezuelan people,” Rodríguez said in a post on his Telegram channel.
The President in Charge stressed that yesterday (Friday 21st) the Bolivarian Government handed over more than 160,000 hectares to the producing people, “as an act of social justice, economic democracy and a firm step towards a more independent Venezuela.”
“We vindicate the Federation's cry for free men and women and the just distribution of land,” he added.
Rodríguez asserted that land is being given to social bases, to small and medium-sized producers, not to large producers who have their own means.
In this regard, he reiterated the call for a great national productive union, to guarantee national production and, fundamentally, food for the people.
