The President in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, went this Tuesday, March 31, to the Basilica of Santa Teresa to oversee the final preparations for religious festivities and as a prelude to the procession of the Nazarene of Saint Paul, the most sacred devotion of the people of Caracas during Holy Week.
During his stay in the compound, he toured the main spaces of the temple and spoke with the church authorities about the logistics necessary to receive the parishioners.
In the Basilica of Santa Teresa, in front of the sacred image of the Lemon Tree of the Lord, the national president shared a message of humility and spirituality, focused on the ability to heal the wounds of the past.
“We forgive those who offend us, and let us also be forgiven, and these blessings reach the hearts of every Venezuelan and every Venezuelan,” he said.
He also made a special request for the union of the Venezuelan household and called on all religious institutions to become bridges of peace.
“I ask that all churches, based on faith, join in healing wounds and hearts, that there be no hatred or intolerance, and that it be love and coexistence that allow us to live in peace,” he said.
He also stressed that the will of the People must be oriented towards brotherhood, regardless of any difference.
“Let the reunion be, even if we are different, that allows us to live in peace, in harmony, in brotherhood and for the happiness of our country. This Holy Week our prayer is to heal Venezuela, just as Jesus carried this cross, we can ease the cross to our country, and that Venezuela can breathe in peace and tranquility,” he said.
He emphasized that spiritual communion must be the common destiny that leads citizens to defend the honor, identity, independence and freedom of this wonderful homeland.
