The president in charge of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, said on Monday that, after the attacks of January 3, Latin America entered into a process of great difficulties.

“We are precisely in a process, I would say, in a historic mark of great difficulties, of great dangers, as our Liberator Father said, about the mountains of gold, silver, the natural riches that our countries have,” warned the president in charge during the closing of the International Colloquium Patria es América, from the Teresa Carreño Theater, within the framework of the Bicentenary of the Amphictyonic Congress of Panama.

In this regard, he stressed that Venezuela is an energy power in its reserves and the Bolivarian Government is committed to “developing that power so that what is in the subsoil becomes the social happiness of the Venezuelan people, who for more than a decade have suffered and suffered an economic blockade.”

He said that in order to achieve this development, it is important to resume relations with the United States through diplomatic channels. “We are in a process of untying, removing knots in relationships,” he said.
