The president in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, together with the People of Venezuela, received the 2026 World Baseball Classic Cup, outside the Miraflores Palace.

He began his speech with a: “Long live Venezuela!”.

“We are going to send a cry of happiness to our boys who are in the United States, for having given this great gift to the Venezuelan people,” he emphasized.

The president in charge stressed that in front of the youth of Venezuela and various representatives of various governmental bodies and young athletes, “to express our gratitude”.

“First to our players, to the Venezuelan National Team for having given us so much emotion, for having made us feel proud to be 100% Venezuelan, proud of our territory and our country,” he said.

He said that “they really made the deepest fiber of Venezuela vibrate.”

He also congratulated the Major League Baseball Organization for this World Cup, “which Venezuela has accessed for the first time in history”, and extended his congratulations to all the baseball teams participating in the event, “20 countries that participated in this 2026" Cup.

“I also congratulate the United States team. The US and Venezuelan teams were there with our flannel and flags doing their best,” he said.
