President Nicolás Maduro Moros and Congresswoman Cilia Flores de Maduro send to the noble people of Venezuela, and to the men and women of good will around the world, a message of deep gratitude for such strength, courage and solidarity.

“Your communications, your messages, your emails, your letters and your prayers have come to us. Every word of love, every gesture of affection, every expression of support fills our souls and strengthens us spiritually. We are well, firm, serene and in permanent prayer.

We deeply admire the capacity of our people to remain united in difficult times, to express love, conscience and solidarity, within Venezuela and beyond our borders. That love that you send us becomes moral strength, inner strength and commitment to the highest values of life.

Today, more than ever, we call for us to continue consolidating the country's peace, national union, reconciliation, forgiveness and reunion between all. Let no one stray from the path of dialogue, coexistence and respect, because that is the path of the Fatherland, that is the path of good.

And as our Lord Jesus Christ said in the Gospel according to Saint Luke: “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and it will be opened to you”. May they ask with faith, that they seek with hope, that they call with love, because God's paths are open to peoples who persevere in truth, in peace and in light.
