This Friday, July 5, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Madur, maintained that true democracy for Peoples must be direct, that “a new power, a new State, be organized, prepared and structured.”

In this regard, he stressed that the State must be as it is contemplated in the National Constitution: social, of law, justice, equality”.

“Our democracy must move towards those levels of development and depth,” he said, while noting that the path is for all the power of the State to be directed to the service of the People.

“We are with the future, which is the new direct democracy, of communal councils, communes, grassroots (...) all paths are open to it,” he argued.

The approach was made in the Urimare parish, in the Vargas municipality of the state of La Guaira, where he made the fourth broadcast of the program With Maduro de Repente from the Radio Urimare 101.1 FM radio station.

He added that the objective is for each community, urban planning, street, to have their spokespersons, their leaders, their work teams, to deliberate, work, attend, as we did in the consultation to choose projects that benefit the community.”
