President Nicolás Maduro to boxer Barroso: All of Venezuela embraces you Ismael!

The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, from the social network X, extended congratulations to the Venezuelan boxer Ismael Barroso, after rising as Interim World Champion of the World Boxing Association (WBA).

“My congratulations to our boxer Ismael Barroso, he won an extraordinary fight by knockout and was named Interim World Champion of the World Boxing Association, super lightweight. Demolishing and forceful in the face of its opponent. Bravo! All of Venezuela embraces you Ismael,” wrote the Head of State.

This Saturday night, Venezuelan Ismael Barroso was crowned Interim WBA super lightweight champion after beating Ohara Davis in a fight in Las Vegas, USA.
