The president of the National Assembly (AN), Jorge Rodríguez stated that “we have learned from very painful things and we have experienced real pain, such as sanctions.”
This was stated from the state of Lara, regarding a new season on the pilgrimage United for Venezuela without Sanctions and in Peace, where he stressed that “sanctions are a difficulty, an obstacle, it is a sick person who does not receive a cure in time; the sanction is the Venezuelans who left as a direct consequence”.
He added that in this historic phase of the country there should be no more important common goal than peace. He specified that “in Venezuela there are not only Chavistas, the opponents also live here, as well as those who do not get involved in politics and this pilgrimage has to cover us all and no one should be left out in this intention of seeking peace.”
In that sense, he said that “it's good to be separating us by colors, because you belong to one political tent and I belong to another. Let's unite with the three colors that identify us all: yellow, blue, red and the eight stars. It's good to keep separating us because there is an intention of hate to separate us, because that Chinese story that there is no racism in Venezuela is the argument of racists to be able to use it with impunity (...) Today we let go of our monkeys in a song of peace.”
The president of the AN called for the pilgrimage of Venezuela to be heard with a single voice. “A single voice will come out in all four cardinal points and we are going together to make Venezuela fly free”
