Presidents of Spain, Costa Rica and Palestine show solidarity with Venezuela in the face of seismic contingency

The president in charge of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, thanked this Thursday for the expressions of support received this Thursday by the leaders of Spain, Costa Rica and Palestine in the face of the emergency in the country following the powerful earthquakes of this June 24.

Through his Telegram channel, Rodríguez reported that he had a telephone conversation with Spanish President Pedro Sánchez, who transmitted “the solidarity and support of the Spanish people and government in the face of the difficult situation that Venezuela is going through.”

He indicated that, during this call, Sánchez “reiterated his willingness to provide immediate support in the search, rescue and care efforts for those affected (...) whose coordination will be carried out jointly with our teams from the General Staff and the corresponding authorities.”

Likewise, the president in charge spoke with the President of the Republic of Costa Rica, Laura Fernández, “who has transmitted a message of solidarity to the Venezuelan people in the face of the difficult situation that our country is going through.”

Fernández announced the willingness of the Government of Costa Rica to provide assistance and cooperation at different levels, including humanitarian support and coordination mechanisms for the care of those affected.

Finally, the President-in-Charge held a telephone call with the President of the State of Palestine, Mahmoud Abbas, “in which she transmitted a fraternal message of support to the Venezuelan people after the recent earthquakes in our country.”

“His words of calm, peace and strength for the families of the victims and the entire Venezuelan people are an expression of the solidarity and brotherhood that unite Palestine and Venezuela,” he added.
