The British Antimonarchical Organization Republic reported
Prince Andrew to the London Police this Thursday for the alleged sexual abuse of a
minor, after court documents were released related to the sex trafficking case of Jeffrey Epstein and his partner,
Ghislaine Maxwell.
“With
the release of Epstein's court documents, new
details of Andrés's sexual assault and rape allegations were revealed,”
reads the statement, according to information from RT.
In that regard, the organization stated that British royalty should not be above the law (...) Allegations of criminality must always be thoroughly investigated . This is why the London Metropolitan Police must act.” At the same time, the organization reported that “the document makes it clear that, during his stay in London, a person was forced to have sexual relations with Andrés when he was a minor”.
It is
important to note that this is not the first time that Prince Andrew has been involved
in a case like this and previously the London Police had announced that he would
not take any further action against the Duke of York, since
investigations related to sex trafficking focused on activities
outside the United Kingdom; however, this time the document reveals serious acts committed
in that city.
Recall
that in 2022, the prince's military ranks and royal patronage were withdrawn.
Andrés was accused by activist Virginia Giuffre, one of the victims of the Epstein case,
of having sexually abused her when she was 17 years old.
The Duke of York reached an out-of-court settlement with Giuffre and agreed to pay him a confidential financial sum. He also promised to make a “ substantial donation” to a charity “in support of the rights of victims” related to the Jeffrey Epstein case.
