The general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, stated that the political organization “fully supports the process of restructuring and reengineering of the State guided by the president in charge, Delcy Rodríguez.”

He noted that this is a necessary task to strengthen public management and adapt the institutional structure to the needs of the country.

Cabello explained that the review covers ministries, agencies and attached entities, with the objective of determining what functions are performed, which overlap and what structures need to be reorganized and indicated that there are institutions that should be attached to other ministries and that this evaluation will make it possible to organize competencies and optimize processes.

The socialist leader recalled that the National Assembly recently approved a law aimed at speeding up and optimizing administrative procedures, an instrument that, as he said, seeks to reduce spaces for irregular practices and improve citizen care. “Every time an unnecessary procedure is created, a door opens for an unscrupulous official. This review aims to close those spaces,” he said.

Cabello clarified that the reorganization does not involve staff reduction or mass layoffs. He stressed that the process is aimed at sincering structures, correcting distortions and ensuring that each organism fulfills its role. “It's not about chasing anyone. It's about tidying up. All Venezuelans are betting on that,” he said.

He recalled previous experiences in which payrolls were detected with non-existent personnel and noted that the current review will prevent similar irregularities. “What was found in the National Assembly in previous years is something else. There were people who earned money without working. This is so that doesn't happen again,” he said.

Cabello reported that, in parallel, the PSUV continues with the national consultation of July 12, a process in which militancy and communities participate with proposals.

In addition, he noted that the territorial visit days will continue this week, with an emphasis on listening to proposals from young people, community leaders and social organizations.
