With the objective of coordinating strategies to optimize the cancer care route and accelerate the resolution of the Regional Surgical Plan, representatives of the Public Health System and private clinics in the state of Mérida held an institutional working table, led by the entity's Single Health Authority, Moraima Salazar, together with the regional coordinator of the Autonomous Health Control Service (SACS), Manuel Chávez.
During the meeting, which took place at the headquarters of the Health Corporation (CORPOSALUD), the authorities followed up on the framework agreements for intersectoral integration promoted after the recent technical visit of the Merida health team to the Ministry of Popular Power for Health.
In this activity, the private sector confirmed its willingness to add technological infrastructure and facilities for performing highly complex surgeries and applying chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatments.
With the endorsement of the SACS, both representatives defined the beginning of the second strategic phase aimed at reducing the healthcare waiting list in the state of Mérida.
