The Venezuelan Astronomy Olympics (OVA) 2026 begins its second phase, a stage where 1,521 students from different states of the country face a new academic challenge and scientific exploration.
“We are pleased to officially announce the start of the second phase of the Venezuelan Astronomy Olympics 2026,” said the Minister for Science and Technology,” said Gabriela Jiménez Ramírez.
The holder of the scientific portfolio recalled that young people who demonstrated outstanding performance during the national theory test held last February 20 participate in this instance.
He also informed the participants that study materials and audiovisual resources are available for consultation on the OVA channels.
Jiménez also invited Venezuelan youth to continue their training in areas such as physics, mathematics and space sciences through the National Scientific Semilleros Program, with the objective of promoting the country's development.
The National Scientific Seed Program, consolidated since 2019, seeks to stimulate early vocations in boys, girls and young people, to consolidate the replacement generation that will lead scientific advances in Venezuela in the coming years.
