Reminder! Diosdado Cabello: We've never done the Mazo on Holy Wednesdays

This Wednesday, April 1st, the Con El Mazo Dando program will not be broadcast as is tradition, because it is a day that is part of Holy Week and that the general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, gives it free for workers to attend their religious and holiday activities.

“I'm going to tell you right now, you scumbags that you love me: On Holy Wednesdays we've never done the Mazo. Don't miss me. On Nazarene Wednesday there is no Mazo, I'm going to be busy that day,” Cabello Rondón said in the #565 edition of his program.

This pause in the communication day responds to respect for the traditions of the Venezuelan people, who today are turning massively to temples — especially the Basilica of Saint Teresa in Caracas — to honor the Nazarene of Saint Paul.
