One month after its activation, the Rural Coffee Plan 2026 in the Portuguese state has already registered an advance of 146 kilometers of agricultural roads served in the upper area of the Ospino municipality.
This initiative, according to a publication published by the Bolivarian Mayor's Office Ospino, is jointly implemented by the Government of Portuguesa and the aforementioned Mayor's Office, which seeks to optimize the transfer of strategic items such as coffee, cocoa and musaceae.

Mayor Yongeiby Yépez reported that work is progressing taking advantage of the summer season, with a final goal that exceeds 400 kilometers.
“Today we can say that we have significant progress in the recovery of the main roads,” he said.
The central objective of the project is to guarantee good access and passability both for the coffee sector and for the thousands of families that reside in the upper area.
To this end, the teams are divided into work fronts that cover four key territorial axes:
Eje Chorro San Miguel: It serves 12 communities in the Camino al Chorro Commune, the highest point in the Portuguese state.
Secondary axis: It covers sectors such as Miadero, Pionío, Cachicamo, San Pedro de Cachicamo, Cerro Azul, Palma Sola del Toco, Las Llanadas, Mucutia and Agua Amarilla.
Axis 3: It covers 15 communities that integrate more than a thousand families.
Eje Comuna Café y Cacao: It provides solutions to more than 550 families in the area.
