A total of 788 young people from the municipalities of Páez, Guanare and Unda in the Portuguese state joined the knowledge experience offered by the Ministry of Science and Technology (MINCYT), through the deployment of the Territorialization Plan of the National Scientific Seed Program.
This initiative seeks to awaken vocations and recognize the value of science and technology in new generations.
The deployment, according to a press release, involved the participation of students from key institutions in the region, including the Hermanas Peraza Educational Complex, in the municipality of Páez; the Ramón Parejo Gómez High School, in Unda; and the San Juan de Guanaguanare High School, in Guanare.
The young people had the opportunity to explore various scenarios designed to stimulate their curiosity about scientific areas.
Under the guidance of the promoters of the National Scientific Seedbeds Program and with the collaboration of teachers and staff from other ministries and affiliated entities, the participants discovered their abilities and the potential to become professionals in science and technology for life.
The curriculum addressed both traditional disciplines such as chemistry, physics and mathematics, as well as emerging and cutting-edge areas, including science for production, science for computing, ecosocialism, science for health, astronomy, microscopy, robotics and programming.
