The general secretary of the
United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, stressed that the
revolutionary forces are still in unity, demanding the release of the President of the
Republic, Nicolás Maduro, and the first female combatant, Cilia Flores.
“Today it is good to remember that 31 days have
passed since the kidnapping of our brother President Nicolás Maduro and our dear
colleague Cilia Flores; 31 days and we are still here demanding their immediate
release and their return,” he said, noting that during the PSUV press conference.
He emphasized that President Maduro and his wife
were illegally taken from Venezuela, since “they should never have taken them, they were taken abducted 31 days
ago.” At the same time, he also recalled the
fatalities left by the United States military aggression against
the country on January 3.
“To their families, our embrace and
our gratitude for their dedication and the courage they showed that day to the
families of the civilians, when I mean civilians, people who were
asleep at home and were hit by the shrapnel of the bombs that were
thrown at our country, our solidarity embrace and our condolences too,” he said.
On the other hand, he noted that during the PSUV meeting, the work schedule and the tasks of the red awning were reviewed. “Always in the spirit of strengthening unity, of revolutionary unity, of the monolithic unity of the entire revolutionary force,” he said.
