The plan for the overcrowding of the National Scientific Semilleros Program reached the Francisco Esteban Gómez School Group, located in the Arismendi municipality of the state of Nueva Esparta, with the objective of providing educational experiences, full of fun, in scientific and technological disciplines.

According to a press release from the Ministry of Science and Technology (MINCYT), the activity was organized by the Foundation for the Development of Science and Technology (FUNDACITE) in the state, serving a total of 85 students (47 boys and 38 girls), corresponding to primary education.

The participants learned about the basic characteristics of some marine and terrestrial invertebrates, to understand everything from their basic characteristics to their importance for life on the planet. Through the entomological box, they observed different insects and, with the help of a stereoscopic magnifying glass, they enjoyed preserved samples.

In the “Science a World of Opportunities” module, boys and girls learned about the essential parts of human anatomy, as well as about the different chemical reactions and how these are part of our daily lives. During this experience, they carried out guided practical experiments, all with their respective scientific explanation.

Finally, they enjoyed the basic aspects of robotics, including electronics, mechanics and programming. This space for meeting young people encouraged logical, mathematical, creative and innovative thinking in students.
