Institutions of the State and the national fishing sector, after a meeting with representatives of the large-scale artisanal fleet, agree on actions that will make it possible to reactivate artisanal fishing in La Guaira, after the double earthquake that severely affected the entity.
At the meeting held at the headquarters of the Council of the Popular Power of Fishermen, Fishermen, Aquaculturists and Aquaculturists (CONPPA) Argimiro Gabaldón, located in the Port of La Guaira, key mechanisms were agreed to speed up the departure of vessels, such as the simplification of permission procedures and coordination for the immediate delivery of fuel.
These actions will allow artisanal fishermen from the central coast to resume their work to ensure the supply of marine protein to Venezuelan communities over the coming months.
This strategic alliance seeks to maintain food security through direct support for seafarers and the reactivation of commercial docks under strict safety protocols aimed at protecting crews during their operations on the high seas.
