State Security Forces seized 289.50 kilos of marijuana in Lara and Falcón

Officials from the Special Operations Group (GOES), with the support of the National Anti-Drug Command (CNA) of the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB), were able to seize shipments totaling 289.50 kilograms of marijuana in procedures carried out in the states of Lara and Falcón.
According to the Instagram post of the Ministry of Internal Relations Justice and Peace (MPPRIJP), the first procedure took place through scrutiny in Barquisimeto, Lara state, where five people were arrested and 77 pots of marijuana, weighing 46.75 kilograms, were seized.
Meanwhile, in Punto Fijo, Falcón State, a citizen was arrested after the discovery of 446 wrappers of the same drug, weighing 242.75 kilograms.
“As a result, the total balance of the operational deployment resulted in the confiscation of 523 marijuana pots with a gross weight of 289.50 kilograms. In addition, two vehicles, six telephone devices and a satellite positioning device (GPS) were detained as elements of criminal interest,” the Ministry reported.
