Sucre fishermen propose proposals to strengthen the sector

In Cumaná, Sucre state, an assembly was held with the participation of 123 spokespersons from artisanal fishermen's councils, with the purpose of evaluating actions aimed at strengthening fishing activity in the region.

The day was led by the Minister of Popular Power for Fisheries and Aquaculture, Juan Carlos Loyo, together with representatives of the National Institute of Aquatic Spaces (INEA), who received proposals aimed at streamlining fishing records and simplifying administrative procedures for the sector.

During the meeting, the spokesman for the Council of Fishermen, Fishermen, Aquaculturists and Aquaculturists (CONPPA) of the Paraguaná Peninsula, stressed that the initiatives presented were well received and will contribute to the strengthening and development of artisanal fishing in the country.
