The Bolivarian Government will begin a special program for the pedagogical care of children affected after the earthquakes

The sectoral vice-president for Social and Territorial Socialism, Héctor Rodríguez, reported that they will initiate a special program for personalized pedagogical care for girls and boys seriously injured in double earthquakes, injuries that affect both their mobility and psychological trauma, so that their school activities and socialization are protected and comply with the necessary adjustments.

“We have spoken with the families of the children and adolescents seriously injured during the double earthquake, who will need special support to promote their development, mobility and autonomy. At this meeting, we listened to each other, and we found that recognizing each other, knowing each other's history, showing solidarity with each reality, between helping us, soothes our souls and gives us strength to face new challenges,” said the Minister of Education, in a text shared on his social networks.

Rodríguez also said that they evaluated the State's capacities and technical cooperation to guarantee specialized medical care and the use of prostheses, according to the benefits they generate for their lives, in addition to designing initiatives for the purchase of housing, with specific criteria to ensure the mobility and safety of children, adolescents and their families.

In addition, he noted that he believes it is necessary to “offer alternatives so that responsible adults who carry out the task of caring for them with such dedication and love, can feel stability and economic peace of mind.”

In this regard, he indicated that “we will activate different options that include productive credits, special support for ventures and their inclusion in the country's bonus system.”
