The Chabasquén-Biscucuy highway (Local 07), in the upper area of Portuguesa, is being comprehensively recovered through the Rural Road Plan of the state's coffee axis.

The works, carried out by the Socialist Infrastructure and Services Company of Portuguesa (Esinsep), include the correction of edge faults, the repair of sewers, patching and the installation of asphalt folders.

Governor Primitivo Cedeño, as reported by the Venezuelan News Agency (AVN), inspected this Monday the work that has just begun to improve the passability of the road that links the municipalities of Sucre and Unda, one of the axes of Portuguesa with the greatest vocation for the production and processing of coffee.

In total, 18 kilometers of road will be serviced, from the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB) checkpoint in Biscucuy to the Chabasquén bridge.

The regional president specified that the remaining months of drought will be used for the work, which in addition to restoring road infrastructure will contribute to the economic development of the area, since they will facilitate the production and marketing of coffee.

Cedeño specified that in the Portuguesa coffee area, the priority at this time is roads, as are other works aimed at guaranteeing residents the continuous supply of drinking water.

He stressed that the objective is to improve the quality of life in the upper area of Portuguesa, providing both communities and coffee farmers with better connectivity and facilitating their access to essential services.
