Within the framework of strengthening social protection policies, the Great Venezuela Youth Mission was deployed with the “Soy Nieto” program in the Santa Rosa sector of the El Recreo parish, with the objective of providing comprehensive care to older adults in the area, promoting a model of support based on respect and the exchange of knowledge.
The territorial deployment not only offered social assistance, but also consolidated meeting spaces where Caracas youth took an active role in the emotional care of grandparents and grandmothers through recreational and personal care activities.
In addition, the day developed dynamics of social and emotional support, allowing participants to share life experiences, cultural values and historical knowledge.
The “Soy Nieto” program is based on the premise that youth and experience must go hand in hand. This initiative seeks to break with generational isolation, creating solid bonds that dignify the stage of old age through affection and solidarity.
With this action, the Great Venezuela Youth Mission, through its youth care centers, reaffirms its commitment to building the country, where the knowledge of the elderly is the pillar of the growth of the new generations in an environment of peace and integration.
