The weightlifter Ángel Rodríguez played the national anthem at the Junior Pan American Games in Asunción

Venezuelan Ángel Rodríguez Meneses won the gold medal in weightlifting after lifting a total of 353 kg at the II Junior Pan American Games in Asunción, Paraguay.

The Venezuelan in the 88 kg division, achieved 161 at the start and 192 in the envión, to keep the gold one

The silver medal went to the Colombian Hainner Córdoba González who managed to lift a total of 343 kg, while the American Ryan McDonald closed the podium with the bronze medal after registering 328 kg.
