The governor of the state of La Guaira, José Alejandro Terán, together with M/G Sulbarán Quintero, Single Authority of the state, and Jacqueline Faria, president of the Venezuela Renace Plan, led a working and checkup meeting with the objective of evaluating the advances in residential infrastructure following the earthquake of last June 24.
During the meeting, they reported that the technical brigades carried out a total of 15,888 inspections throughout the region, showing in the structural diagnosis that 58% of the properties evaluated were reported with a green label, with minor damage and being habitable; 23% of the total inspected have a yellow label with moderate damage and with a red label a total of 5,51 homes.
In La Guaira, the care plan currently records 4,348 homes in the process of being reconstructed, which translates into a direct and positive impact for 21,170 people in the state.
“We are happy with these results because, thanks to the unconditional support of the President in Charge, Delcy Rodríguez, and the coordination of all levels of government, we are making rapid progress to provide an optimal response to affected families,” said Governor Terán.
The authorities confirmed that multidisciplinary teams will remain deployed in communities to accelerate comprehensive rehabilitation work and guarantee safe housing solutions to the population.
