This Tuesday, July 9th at 12:00 noon, the public voting process will end to choose the Monument to La Chinita, to be built in the Ana María Campos Park in Maracaibo, in the state of Zulia.
To participate, you “like” the proposals published on social networks: Instagram and X of the Venezuela Bella Mission and Ana María Campos Park.
In total, there are 24 proposals involving architects, engineers, sculptors, and others, who were invited on June 27 to participate in this work, which will have a height of between 48 and 52 meters, to become the tallest Marian monument in the country.
Public voting through the above-mentioned networks will represent 50% of the value; while the other 50% will be in the hands of the jury, composed of seven specialists, under the coordination of the president of the Great Venezuela Bella Mission, Jacqueline Fanía.
The jury is made up of the rector pastor of the Chiquinquirá Basilica, Nedward Andrade, who will be in charge of the symbolic evaluation; Aitor Romano, director of Culture of the University of Zulia (LUZ), Zuleiva Vivas, for artistic evaluation; Susana Gómez, dean of the Faculty of Architecture of LUZ, for architectural assessment and the architect Paola Posani and the engineer Rosendo Camargo , who will be responsible for evaluating the architectural and urban aspects.
The images of the proposals show a representation of what the monument already built would look like; some of them add additional information such as its meaning and the proposed measures.
