Venezuelans Luis Arráez, Ezequiel Tovar and Maikel García are part of the ideal team for the 2026 World Baseball Classic.

The Venezuelan national team achieved a milestone by placing three of its four infielders in the stellar team.

Arráez took first base thanks to his unparalleled ability to put the ball into play, while Tovar established himself as the best shortstop in the world with fair plays that supported national pitching. The “hot corner” was owned by García, who provided aggressiveness at the bases and an elite glove, Meridiano reports.

Dominican Austin Wells was selected as the most outstanding receiver, while American Brice Turang took second base.

For their part, the gardens were shared by the American Roman Anthony, the Dominican Fernando Tatis Jr. , and the Italian Dominic Nori. The designated hitter position was awarded, for the second consecutive Classic, to Japanese star Shohei Ohtani.

The pitching corps is led by the Americans accompanied by Paul Skenes and Logan Webb, and the Italian Aaron Nola.

Venezuela defeated the United States 3-2 in the final of the World Baseball Classic 2026, to secure the country's first title in the history of this event, joining Japan (3), the United States (1) and the Dominican Republic (1).
