Transitional Camps house 21,235 people

In 107 Transitional Camps arranged for those affected by the double earthquake of last June 24, 21,235 people are being treated.

The information was provided by the Social and Territorial Vice President, Héctor Rodríguez, in the most recent official balance sheet published this Saturday, July 18, which details that the installed capacity in the Transitional Camps is 25,707 places in these spaces.

The regional distribution of the camps and the population served is concentrated in the central region, with Caracas and La Guaira being the entities with the largest number of people served. Caracas has 41 camps with 10,996 beds and 8,310 people served. In La Guaira there are 28 service spaces with 10,476 people served. In Miranda 28 camps, 3,610 beds and 1,747 people served in Aragua there are 10 spaces with 776 beds that shelter 702 people
