National land and water transport authorities are deployed throughout the territory to provide comprehensive support to seasonal workers who are enjoying Holy Week 2026, while advancing logistics for a safe and happy return.
This was reported this Good Friday by Deputy Ministers Claudio Farías, in charge of land transport, and David Quintana, in charge of water transport, during a special program broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), regarding this season of religious vacation.
“We are already returning home, making every human, logistical and governmental effort to guarantee the lives of our citizens and make this Holy Week a happy week of peace and enjoyment,” said Quintana.
He explained that the highest water transport mobility was recorded precisely this Friday, as the highest peak of the week, although he announced that another similar peak is expected this Holy Saturday, although lower. “And it already starts all Sunday, so in that period we have more than 426 officials deployed in all the water districts, almost 100 vehicles including boats and ambulances to accompany us back home.”
Quintana reported that the current operation has more than 146 checkpoints to accompany seasonal workers who visit the beaches.
For his part, Deputy Minister Farías indicated that land passenger terminals are being strengthened, and in the capital area, those in the east and west stood out, to facilitate the mobility that is taking place right now.
“We have the capacity to respond in these scenarios and the entire team is deployed, very attentive to support, including other units that could be provided if necessary.”
Farías reported that, in real time, the land transport sector maintains 492 units deployed throughout the country to serve users during Holy Week, with affordable rates and a close and reliable service.
He also highlighted the support of the Caracas Metro in mobilizing parishioners during religious activities, and noted that the number of users has increased progressively in recent days.
