Vehicles with a load of more than 3,500 kilos will not be allowed to circulate during Easter

Through a statement, the National Institute of Land Transportation (INTT) informs cargo transport operators that, from Monday, March 30, starting at 01:00am, until Monday, April 06, 2026, their circulation will be restricted at 01:00am.

In this regard, it became known that this measure will apply to transport with a load greater than 3,500 kg, and has the objective of ensuring road safety, during Holy Week.

The following is the full text of the statement:

The National Institute of Land Transport (INTT) informs cargo transport operators that, from Monday, March 30, starting at 01:00am, to Monday, April 6, 2026, at 01:00am, the movement of cargo of more than 3,500 kg will be restricted, with the aim of ensuring road safety, during Holy Week.

The restriction is carried out in accordance with what was decreed by President (E) DELCY RODRIGUEZ, last Thursday, March 27, and in accordance with the provisions of Joint Resolution 083 and 022 of the Ministry of People's Power for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace, and the Ministry of People's Power for Transportation, published in Official Gazette No. 42,425, dated July 25, 2022.

This traffic ban does not apply to vehicles that carry the following products and services: perishable and non-perishable foods, and their respective raw materials; road assistance, emergencies, police or military, telecommunications equipment for the defense of the Nation, such as; drinking water and the chemicals necessary for its purification, short-term medicines, carbon dioxide (dry ice), oxygen (gases or liquids necessary for the operation of health centers), waste solids of household origin (in vehicles authorized for this service), gas for domestic use and fuels intended for the supply of service stations.

Carriers are urged to take the necessary precautions in the face of the current traffic restriction and to strictly comply with the measures established to ensure road safety. Their collaboration is essential to protect the integrity of everyone on the roads.
