Venezuela and Germany strengthen cultural ties in homage to Teresa Carreño

A delegation from the Teresa Carreño Theater participated in the International Symposium “In the Footsteps of Teresa Carreño in Germany”, organized together with the Goethe-Institut Venezuela, as part of an agenda of cultural exchange and cooperation between both nations.

During the visit to European territory, the Venezuelan representation held a meeting with the German Minister of State for Culture and Media, Wolfram Weimer, at which new opportunities for cultural collaboration and joint projects were discussed.

The agenda also included research tours through the archives of the Berlin Philharmonic, the State Library and the Ibero-American Institute, as well as participation in the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the Goethe-Institut at the Haus der Berliner Festspiele.

In addition, the Venezuelan delegation shared with national artists who are developing their careers on German stages, including the tenor Jorge Puerta, the sopranist Samuel Mariño and the dancer Orlando Rodríguez, reaffirming the cultural ties between Venezuela and Germany through the legacy of Teresa Carreño.
