Venezuela and Germany strengthen diplomatic relations and cooperation between the two countries

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, received this Monday, October 7, the credentials of the ambassador appointed by the Federal Republic of Germany to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Volker Wilhelm.
The event, held at the Casona Cultural Aquiles Nazoa, strengthens the ties of diplomacy and cooperation between the two countries.
The German diplomat has served in the Federal Chancellery of Germany (2003-2007), the embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Havana-Cuba, the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany (2010-2015), the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany-Berlin (2017-2018), all as deputy head and head of section.
He also served as ambassador in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic (2018-2022). And since August 2024, he was appointed ambassador appointed by the Federal Republic of Germany to the Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
