Venezuela and Tunisia confirm their mutual willingness to strengthen cooperation in strategic areas

The Foreign Minister of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Yván Gil, made telephone contact on Monday with his Tunisian counterpart, Mohamed Ali Nafti, with whom he confirmed “the excellent state of bilateral relations and the mutual willingness to further strengthen cooperation.”

Through his Telegram channel, the Venezuelan diplomat noted that during the dialogue they highlighted the strengthening of the alliance in the political, social and economic areas, with special emphasis on commercial exchange.

The ministers also agreed “on the importance of expanding collaboration in the energy, agriculture and education sectors”, areas considered fundamental to the sovereign development of their peoples.

The senior diplomats addressed the joint position of their nations in support of the Palestinian cause and reiterated their commitment to multilateralism.

In this regard, Gil highlighted the urgency of “promoting respect for the UN Charter, stressing diplomacy and dialogue as the only ways to move towards peace, prosperity and equality among peoples.”
