The Government of Venezuela said goodbye with deep gratitude to the rescue brigade of the Republic of Türkiye, whose members return to their country after carrying out valuable search and rescue tasks in coordination with the Civil Protection (PC) teams.

In recognition of their outstanding work in the field, the foreign contingent was awarded the Venezuelan Hero Award for their immediate support to the affected population following the earthquakes that occurred on June 24.

The Minister of People's Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, highlighted on his Telegram channel the receipt of a new shipment of humanitarian assistance from the Eurasian nation to strengthen care operations. This important shipment includes a total of seven tons of medicines and essential medical supplies, in addition to 275 heavy-duty tents intended for the temporary protection of families affected by the environmental contingency.

On behalf of the president in charge, Delcy Rodríguez, Gil extended fraternal greetings and sincere thanks to the president of Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, as well as to that country's ambassador to Venezuelan territory, Aydan Karamanoğlu.
