The Venezuelan delegation is developing an important work agenda at the Moscow International Travel and Tourism Exhibition (MITT Moscow 2026), in which a high-level alliance with St. Petersburg was consolidated.

The national representation composed of the Deputy Minister of International Tourism, Marcos Medina, and the president of Venezolana de Turismo (VENETUR), Dheliz Álvarez, participated in a videoconference with Nana Gvichia, vice-president of the Committee for the Development of Tourism of Saint Petersburg with the objective of consolidating Venezuela's presence in the “Capital of the North” of Russia.

The meeting addressed the installation of a VENETUR office in St. Petersburg, as well as the activation of new air routes to attract more Russian tourists, according to the press release of the Ministry of People's Power for Tourism.

The launch of “Fam Trips” (familiarization trips) for international bloggers and Venezuelan tour operators visiting the city of Saint Petersburg was also evaluated, and the Caribbean nation is also expected to participate in the next international tourism forums in the Eurasian country.
