As part of the strengthening of bilateral relations between Venezuela and the United States, the company CVG VENALUM announced the export of more than 15,000 tons of primary aluminum as part of a commercial agreement between the Guayanese state company, the Mercuria Energy Group LTD and the company Heeney Capital, shipping aluminum ingots with a purity ranging from 99.5% to 99.7%.
The information was released by the Ministry of Popular Power for Ecological Mining Development and Basic Industries on its account on the social network Instagram, in which it specified that the shipment of this shipment, which is being carried out under the guidelines of the President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez to promote the rebirth of Venezuela, marks a milestone because thanks to the efforts of the working class, aluminum exports are resuming from Venalum, to United States, after almost a decade.

The VENALUM worker, Stefania Márquez, indicated that the departure of this ship represents a historic milestone for the plant, explaining that “the export of primary aluminum with a high level of purity is the product of the efforts of each of the workers who are fully confident in the recovery of our installed capacity. In this way, we promote a non-oil alternative.”
For his part, Dan Kennedy, Assistant Undersecretary of State for Energy and Critical Minerals of the United States, stressed that this is a great day for Venezuela and the United States, because for the first time in many years, a shipment of primary aluminum is being sent from the VENALUM Pier to the North American nation.
“Venezuela has extraordinary resources and incredible people. It is an honor for me to be here to say goodbye to this first shipment of aluminum, and we look forward to continuing this alliance for many more years,” he added.
The Minister of Ecological Mining Development and Basic Industries, Héctor Silva, said that within the framework of the Venezuela Renace Plan, aluminum exports to the United States are resuming.
“Thanks to the efforts of our working class at VENALUM, today, after almost ten years, we are once again exporting the best aluminum in the world to the United States,” he said.
