Venezuela promotes cooperation between countries to combat forest fires (+Brazil)

Venezuela participated in the Meeting on Interoperability, Cooperation and Mutual Assistance for Preparedness and Response to Forest Fires in Latin America and the Caribbean, in Brazil
The activity was organized by the Organization of the Amazon Cooperation Treaty, to address key strategies to face the challenges posed by forest fires in the region, press release of the Ministry of People's Power for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace.
During the meeting, the national director general of Firefighters and president of the National Fund for Firefighters, Firefighters and Civil Emergency Management (FONBE), highlighted the importance of the collaboration of all countries to effectively address environmental crises and promote sustainability in the Amazon.
In the context of the International Meeting, González also met with the Venezuelan ambassador to Brazil, Manuel Vadell, to strengthen bilateral collaboration and explore new opportunities for cooperation in the fight against forest fires and other environmental challenges facing the region.
