This Monday, August 10 at 2:44 p.m., Venezuela registered the highest electricity demand so far in 2026, reaching 15,625 megawatts (MW), a figure that represents the highest level recorded in the last eight years.

According to records released by the Ministry of Electric Energy in a press release, this demand behavior represents an increase of 3.6% compared to the maximum recorded in 2025, as a result of the high temperatures recorded in the country and the economic growth that maintains its momentum.

Faced with this scenario, the Electric Energy portfolio and the National Electric Corporation (CORPOELEC) are constantly monitoring the facilities that make up the National Electric System (SEN), as well as carrying out stabilization tasks to ensure a continuous and balanced supply.

In the same way, the National Executive urges citizens to participate consciously in the use of electrical energy, in order to mitigate the consequences of the Super Child phenomenon in the country.
