The Venezuela Renace 2026 Sports Games will be inaugurated on July 29 in Caracas, La Guaira, Miranda and Aragua, with the purpose of promoting physical activity, recreation and the integration of families who remain in temporary camps after the earthquakes of last June 24.

This was announced by the Ministry of Popular Power for Sports on its website, in which it detailed that the program includes competitions in baseball five, kickingball, court volleyball, mini-athletics, chess, dominoes, futsal and 3x3 basketball, aimed at participants in the under-10, under-14, under-18 and free categories.

He also specified that the event will take place in three stages: Intercamps (July 29 to August 23), Municipal-State (August 26 to September 13) and Regional Center (September 16 to 20)

In this regard, the Minister of Sports, Franklin Cardillo, said that the initiative is part of the support provided by the Executive to affected families. In addition, he highlighted that sports federations and athletes from the national team will participate in clinics and recreational activities within the camps.

He also emphasized that the games will have a participatory and inclusive nature, open to children, young people and older adults.

For his part, the head of the Youth and Sports Cabinet of Caracas, Richard Betancourt, indicated that the program seeks to provide comprehensive care through sports and recreational activities for all ages, while the director of High Performance Sports of La Guaira, Juan Montes, stated that the initiative will contribute to the well-being of families and will promote recreation, in addition to identifying new sports talent.
