Venezuelan cacao, renowned for its fine aroma, will be present at the first edition of the ShowColat international artisanal chocolate festival, which will take place from May 1 to 3 in Bordeaux, France.

For three days, attendees will be able to learn about the best cacaos in the country and its culture through workshops to taste chocolates made with Venezuelan beans, as well as participate in meetings with chocolatiers and cocoa specialists, Radio Miraflores reports.

The program will be accompanied by traditional Venezuelan music and dance, highlighting the cultural richness that accompanies the country's cacao production.

In this context, the Minister of People's Power for Foreign Trade, Coromoto Godoy, announced the launch of a program that will promote and facilitate the export of Venezuelan cocoa and chocolate, with the objective of publicizing the country's sweet and culinary riches.

“Thus, in compliance with the instructions of our president (e) Delcy Rodríguez, we are going to position fine aroma cocoa and high-end chocolate in international markets. Our cocoa is tradition, history and identity! Chocolate is happiness!” , the minister said through her official Instagram account.

Historic regions such as Chuao, Ocumare and Carenero have established an international reputation for the genetic quality of their beans and their unique aromatic profiles, with fruity, floral and spicy notes. In addition, the producing communities maintain traditional methods of cultivation and drying, which are part of their identity and tradition.
