The diplomatic delegation of the Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela arrived in Washington to begin a new era of dialogue between the Latin American nation and the United States (USA).
The Deputy Minister for Europe and North America of the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry, Oliver Blanco, reported that he is already in the US capital, together with the chargé d'affaires, Félix Plasencia, for the installation of the diplomatic mission.
“We work to promote relationships based on respect and cooperation for the prosperity of our countries,” Blanco said on his social networks, reporting that they held a meeting with the Undersecretary of State, Christopher Landau; with Undersecretary Michael Kozak and Undersecretary Caleb Orr, to explore opportunities to strengthen the bilateral relationship.
For his part, Plasencia highlighted the interest of the Bolivarian Government in resuming its diplomatic presence in the United States. “Here we are a group of officials to address issues that interest Venezuelans,” he said.
