This Friday, February 27, on the occasion of commemorating the 37th anniversary of the Caracazo, the Venezuelan people mobilized in the country's capital.

The rally began at noon at the Great Wall of Petare to go to the Monument to the Fallen Square, located at the entrance of José Félix Ribas, Sucre municipality in Miranda state.

“February 27, 1989 is an example of the achievements that can be achieved when the People organize and demand their rights. Today, we have made progress in that area, and together we have overcome hundreds of obstacles. Today is a day to reflect on everything we have achieved in the revolution and what we must not lose,” said Alejandro Montiel, an informal worker present at the march.

Meanwhile, Daniela Ruiz, a resident of Petare, recalled that February 27 was a day that marked a before and after in her life, because she lived intensely in her area of residence. “That day the information was confusing, no one knew exactly what was going on. We currently have the tools for the globalization of news and the advantages of the web, because it is important to reflect on its objective use,” he said.
