This Saturday, the World Baseball Classic Cup, which Venezuela won in the final against the representative team of the United States, toured the state of La Guaira to spread the joy of winning this historic championship.

Dozens of Guaireñas and Guaireños have come out to proudly celebrate this achievement of the National Baseball Team, the government reported on its social networks.

“We are the fourth state in the country to have the honor of receiving this historic cup, a symbol of the determination and talent of our players,” said Governor José Alejandro Terán, sharing photographs of the occasion.

In statements to Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), and together with the president of the La Guaira Baseball Association, Juan Laya, the regional president reported that the cup belongs to the entire Venezuelan people and in his entity, he toured a total of 10 minor baseball stadiums, with the presence of more than 20 sports organizations, with approximately 5,000 boys and girls, who have had the opportunity to motivate themselves to see this majestic international trophy of Venezuelan sports.

He said that the caravan will continue to the town of La Sabana in the Caruao parish, and arrive at La Sabana, where a drum ringing was planned, to pay homage to the champions, especially the Guaireño players Michael García and Ronald Acuña Junior.
