Yvan Gil highlights the historical significance and revolutionary legacy of José Artigas

On behalf of the Bolivarian Government, the Minister of Popular Power for Foreign Affairs, Yvan Gil, extended his sincerest congratulations to the people and government of Uruguay on the occasion of the 262nd anniversary of the birth of José Gervasio Artigas.

The foreign minister highlighted the figure of Artigas as a distinguished hero of the independence process in the face of Spanish colonization, stressing that his revolutionary thought and action continue to exist as a beacon of dignity and an inspiring example for all the peoples of Our America.

With this commemoration, the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry reaffirms the respect and historical brotherhood that unites both nations, honoring the memory of the heroes who laid the foundations of freedom and sovereignty in the region.
