President Nicolás Maduro affirmed that December 8 is a date with an emotional and spiritual burden for revolutionaries and revolutionaries.

“December 8 is a date with an emotional and spiritual burden for revolutionaries, the last proclamation of our Commander Chávez, full of guidelines, truths and strategic lines for the future,” said the Head of State through a post on his telegram channel.

Maduro emphasized that Chávez, like a prophet that day, spoke of national union, which today “we have managed to consolidate and build at a higher level.”

“How many things we have experienced and overcome! The Commander did not hesitate for a second about the repository of his dreams and his historical project, and he was right, 12 years later we have placed our soul, life and our very existence in the hands of the people of Venezuela,” he said.

He said that together with the Venezuelan people he has fought the great battle against conspiracies, sanctions, blockades and fascism.

“Today I just have to say: Commander, it was worth all the fight, all the love for the Fatherland, all the battles and victories. I have not failed him, nor will I ever fail him,” he said.
