The Ministry of Science and Technology, through the Infocentro Foundation, awarded awards to more than 120 boys, girls and young people participating in the Educational Robotics course.

The event, according to a MINCYT press release, was held at the facilities of the Great Venezuela Youth Mission, located in Caracas.

The activity, which is part of the National Scientific Semilleros Program, allowed young people to learn about robotics, electronics and programming together with other skills that facilitate the development of logical-mathematical thinking, creativity and innovation.

Camilo Hernández, a participant in the training activity, said that he is “very proud of everything I could have achieved in this place. I obtained the tools, I had all the knowledge possible to learn about science and technology with which I can innovate in my country.”

“I learned robotics, I learned a little bit of programming, I learned how to assemble a robot, I learned a lot of things and I'm really grateful,” said Jesdaly Salazar.

For Oriana Herrera, facilitator of the Infocentro Foundation, the skills of the future are focused on science and technology, so it is essential that children and young people have this knowledge.

“It is very important that children today continue to learn robotics, since it can open many doors for them to the future, both at university and at work,” he said.

The Educational Robotics course has managed to serve more than 152,000 children over the course of 2025, as part of the national government's policies to advance the dissemination of the scientific-technological agenda from an early stage.
