The governor of the state of Bolívar, Yulisbeth García, announced the activation of 16 military training points as part of the national day The People Go to the Barracks, aimed at defending the country.
During his speech, García emphasized that men and women voluntarily joined the training centers of the different components of the Bolivarian Militia. “Today the people enlisted in the Bolívar state barracks to receive technical instruction, marksmanship and fire triangulation exercises,” he said.
The activity was attended by the head of the 62 of the Integral Defense Zone (ZODI) of Bolívar, General Miguel Girales, and the mayor of the municipality of Angostura del Orinoco, Sergio Hernández, together with representatives of the combat corps, workers from basic businesses and organized sectors.
Girales explained that the training process includes teaching the use of long and short weapons, starting with technical skills and then moving on to shooting and fire triangulation exercises.
“We are committed to increasing the operational readiness of the Venezuelan people in the face of external aggressions. In Bolívar, the staff started early in the morning with structured training to advance from novice shooters to experts,” he said.
