“35th Anniversary of Vietnam-Venezuela Relations” exhibition inaugurated

This Tuesday, at the headquarters of the Municipal Palace of Caracas, the photographic exhibition 35th Anniversary of Vietnam - Venezuela Diplomatic Relations was inaugurated; its land and its people.
The activity was led by the Deputy Minister for Asia, the Middle East and Oceania of the Ministry of People's Power for Foreign Affairs, Tatiana Pugh; the accredited Vietnam ambassador to Venezuela, Vu Trung My, and the mayor of Caracas, Carmen Meléndez.
In this regard, the Deputy Minister stressed that “calling us sons of Bolivar and Chávez, and calling us sons of Ho Chi Minh is not just anything, it also implies a deep sense of sovereignty, independence and labor struggle. The relationship with Vietnam is obviously loving, but it is also full of the conviction that we have a single destiny, a single possibility to continue in the fight for liberation, sovereignty and independence.”
For his part, the Vietnamese Ambassador thanked Venezuela for the “brotherhood, generosity, love and joy that characterizes its people and that they have given us”, while reiterating his nation's intention to move towards the prosperity of both peoples.
During her speech, Mayor Meléndez expressed her pride in showing visitors this exhibition that reflects the brotherhood of peoples. He also highlighted the links of struggle and resistance in the defense of sovereignty that unite Venezuela and Vietnam.
