A total of 492 tourism service providers
in the
Morrocoy National Park were certified by the National Parks Institute (INPARQUES),
in coordination with the Ministry of Tourism and the National Institute of
Tourism, as part of a strategy to strengthen a responsible and quality tourism model.
This was announced by the president of INPARQUES, Rosinés Chávez, through her Instagram account, in which she stressed that they are proud to announce this achievement. “We congratulate this first cohort for their commitment to training and awareness-raising,” he said.
The participants
completed the Specialized Course in Ecotourism, designed to professionalize care in one of
the most emblematic destinations in the country, recognized for its
diversity of cays, mangroves and marine-coastal ecosystems.
The
training was guided by three pillars: excellence in
visitor care, environmental awareness for the protection of biodiversity and legal
responsibility in complying with regulations, with the objective of ensuring
orderly and sustainable tourism.
With these certifications, Inparks reaffirms its role in the conservation
of natural spaces and in promoting a balance between
recreational enjoyment and environmental protection, consolidating new graduates as
promoters of sustainability within the protected area.
The certificate ceremony was also attended by the Minister of Tourism, Daniella Cabello; and the governor of the state of Falcón, Víctor Clark, as part of a joint effort to transform the park's tourism dynamics.
